Feasibility Study / Innovation Grants

Feasibility Study / Innovation Grants may be awarded to assist the promoter with researching market demand for a product or service and examining its sustainability. It may cover the costs of market research, product development and other kinds of innovation. It may included assistance with innovation inclduing specific consultancy requirements, hiring of expertise, private specialists, design, patent costs and prototype development. Expenditure may be considered under the following headings:

  • Innovation Costs
  • Own Labour Research
  • Consultancy Costs
  • Miscellaneous Costs

Feasibility Study Grants are normally subject to an overal limit of €10,000 or 50% of expenditure. Feasiblity Study Grants are completely non-refundable.

How to Apply

It is good practice to contact member of staff for guidance at the earliest opportunity. Click here to download The Feasibility Study Application Form. It can be emailed, faxed or posted to the Board. Six copies of the Application Form and any supporting documentation should be submitted to the Board

The Process

If any clarification of your application is necessary, you will be contacted by our staff. The application will be considered at the next monthly meeting of our Evaluation Committee and Board. If approved, you will be notified and asked to sign an agreement which sets out the full terms and conditions of the funding offer.

Drawdown of funding

Information will be provided on the drawdown process at the time of accepting the offer of funding.
